Paragamus SpeedNet » By Roza Mair » Uploaded [16 Mar 2000] Tired of the world wide wait? SpeedNet will increase your online download speed by up to 600 per cent. Let SpeedNet save the day. Dialup connections will usually see a speed increase of about 100-200 per cent, while higher speed connections such as cable modems, ISDN, 56K and DSL will usually see 200-600 per cent. SpeedNet optimises Windows in order to allow for the maximum packet size along with other settings in Windows to provide the maximum download speeds.
Please note: This version is function limited. It speeds up
connections that have a 56K or less modem only. It will not speed up ISDN and
cable connections. » Install instructions Click on the "d*load" button or the executable (.exe) file name on the left. If you are using Internet Explorer check the "Run this program..." button in the dialogue box that opens up, then click OK. This will start the installation process on your PC. Then follow the instructions on screen. To run the program manually, go to (CD):\web_cd\Library\paragamus\setup.exe in Windows Explorer « Uninstall instructions From your Start menu, go to Settings and click on Control Panel in the side menu. Click on the Add/Remove icon in the window that opens up. In the new window that comes up, scroll down until you find Electronic Assistant. Click to highlight it, then click on the Add/Remove button. Click Yes to confirm. This will remove the application from your computer.
